Great Ingredients From A Traveling man.....

MARCELLO'S ITALIAN RESTAURANT/CATERING
As i sit With hunger at work dying to find something to eat I was Wondering where I could travel in a short period of time with using as little gas as I could. I found myself the day before driving around looking and only finding A phillips66 gas station ( I Think) and A Subway. So On My way out of my building I see what looks like a van and attached to it is a trailer. I walk over hoping to find something good and i'm not gonna lie I was speed walking I was so hungry. as I approach I am greeted not only by the smell of Italian Chorizo but by a man sporting an Italy Hat with an Accent that would take you back to Sicily
(Where he is originally from )  even if you have never been there! He said
 "Giuseppe is my name"
I asked What was on the menu and today he Was serving Italian Chorizo, Homemade Lasagna, Homemade Bread. the menu tends to vary day to day a little with choices like Italian rice and Italian meatballs Giving you amazing taste experience strait from overseas. I chose the lasagna.
For those who don't know. I have been searching all my life for the perfect lasagna. Today That goal was Not met but did Come close. One thing I did really enjoy was the homemade Alfredo sauce he did coat the lasagna with when serving. I think it gave it a extra creamy and flavorful sauce.

so along with the lasagna it came with my choice of 2-4 pieces of fresh bread, garden salad, a fruit cup and a drink.(if your lucky you can grab one of the 20 oz bottles that he has for the same price as the cans but they are limited by the day) With a A+ grade of service provided by Giuseppe,A name and accent to always remember I excitingly make my way to find somewhere to enjoy this meal made from fresh hands strait from Italy.
As I start to eat the lasagna the quality is very good. The light coating of Alfredo sauce I feel makes the taste different and and have a lot better flavor. My favorite part was actually using my bread to soak up the marinara/Alfredo mixed sauce. For $6.99 I was full and satisfied! I now have a friend from another part of the world that provides us with great food very conveniently!
Never be afraid to try the Numerous food trucks here in Utah!

An easy Fun Dinner or lunch

Wanting to add some spice and some good steak and bacon flavors I decided to make a simple great tasting sandwich which is easy to duplicate and can be great for the kids or even if your having company with this beautiful weather we are having!
Depending on how many people you will be cooking for you will need some beef. you can buy the good stuff
to really get the flavor of the beef or you can buy bargain which is the way to go lately. There are different kinds of bacon so depending on your preference you can try different flavors. thick cut maple flavor is a suggested choice.
Season your beef and throw it on the grill if you don't have a grill you can cook it over the stove just cut ahead of time into strips.I Like my Steak with a nice char, most prefer no char though.
Cook your bacon, then after you finish the bacon add some butter in a pan and add the asparagus with some season and fat from the bacon.
Slice some tomato, avocado, onions, and some cilantro.
Depending on what you like you can add any condiments.
Smoked Gouda cheese is preferred for this because of the great smokey taste.
You can use any type of bread or roll.
Add all your ingredients together and melt the smoked Gouda over the top and enjoy plain or with ranch or cucumber sauce for dipping or drizzle over the top.
Enjoy All food and try everything!

Soulful Thinking

I had this idea of some kinda of pasta with chicken and I wasn't gonna be happy until i made the effort to satisfy my soul.... So I was On the hunt for some simple but great ingredients to make this dish. with no exact recipe in mind i let the soul pick its satisfying ingredients and boom! next thing you know I was in the kitchen working what seemed to be magic in the making. So with hungry stomachs waiting to enjoy whatever came flying out of that kitchen I did my best to "come up with the win" with minor adjustments during the process the final product turned out to be a hit a Cajun chicken Alfredo.....A little love, A little hunger, A lot of soul go a long way when cooking.

The Most Memorable Bite

So high
I'm so high I'm giving Jesus tips on hand placement and release to perfect that holy jump shot
This uniquely profound feeling that spreads like butter on a hot pan, rushes through my body from the very tip of my newly found gray hair, to the bottom of the worn soles of my shoes
Some say butterflies
Na not me
I say fireworks
The big ones
The ones that are illegal in most states but still drive 3 hours to purchase there  explosive
Content for person pleasure
The smell of undiscovered seeps through my nostrils as To Die For fragrances rise through the lightly decorated room
My body almost loses life with the amazement of how something so simple can be so conquering
My technique is irregular and unorthodox, but without care i proceed with little to no expectations of being wowed
Minute after minute the experience seems to trump any card i pray for on the flop
I catch my self with a smile that even the joker would be jealous of
Looking around as if everyone in the room was experiencing the same emotions as myself
Realizing that my feelings are not mutual, a shyness foils my thoughts only to be broken seconds later by the one thing that began this madness of expression.
Satisfaction hits like a tidal wave sweeping me away to places I've never seen nor felt
Amazed at the experience wishing cameras could capture my emotions.
Everyday i rise with the determination of finding those emotions and re-living the moment that changed me forever
I've traveled far and wide only to be stunned at the lesser quality that fills the belly's of millions
I ask myself the same question repeatedly wondering " If you gon do it then do it with love"
Love
There's that word again
Finding itself in other aspects of my life knowing that it bonds well with what makes people enjoy life
I continue to search for that first moment that love and great food met in a so so place with average Joe's eating what seems to be average food
But underneath the surface not so average at all
Ill travel to every corner and eat in every hole in the wall until the connection is made once again Feeling reunited
Only to be then pulled away and fire my soul for another long journey searching for that perfect balance.

Chocolate coverd eclairs

As a Child I fell in love with eclairs, there was (and still is) a nearby bakery from my home and every night my grandfather would go at close and they would give him all the extra pastries and bread. the best eclairs you ever had in your life. The right amount of chocolate and light whip cream on the top, a soft but sweet pastry followed by and amazing Bavarian creme filling with just the right amount to evenly enjoy the delightful desert. So Many years later i finally attempt to make some from scratch and The first few were a little off but after the first 2 or 3 it turned out well. i think the most difficult part when trying for the first time is getting the right shape of the pastry. but all is well and the final outcome was a success.

Southern Shrimp And Grits

I First came across this recipe on tv. tried it and it was pretty good. then i spoke with a fellow food lover and he tweaked the recipe a little being he was originally from Baton Rouge, LA and the turnout was pretty good. this is def. not on the healthy side, Cutting back on some of the ingredients would make this dish healthier but  but if your looking for a quick way to get a taste of the south then this is a great crowd pleaser
